QUE TRACK vs a paper register and Excel

Most snooker clubs in Pakistan start with a register, and some move to Excel. Both are cheap, but neither times tables, adds up bills or keeps khata and canteen stock linked to each game. Here is an honest comparison, including when a register is still enough.

When a register is still fine

If you have one or two tables, few regulars on credit and no canteen, a well-kept register may be all you need. The cost of software matters more when the club is small.

When club software pays for itself

Once several tables run at the same time, the gaps add up: a game started and never written down, a drink not added to a bill, udhaar that nobody can prove. If even one game a day goes unbilled, that usually costs more than a monthly plan. QUE TRACK closes those gaps because the timer, the bill, the canteen and the khata are one record.

What QUE TRACK does not do (yet)

  • It does not print directly to a thermal printer; receipts are shown on screen.
  • It does not export reports to Excel or PDF.
  • The Android app needs internet; offline use is on Windows only.

Frequently asked questions

For a very small club with one or two tables and no credit customers, a register can work. Once you have several tables running at once, regulars on udhaar and a canteen, mistakes and unbilled games become common and a club app pays for itself.

Excel can store records, but it cannot time tables, warn about overtime or link canteen sales and khata to a bill. Someone also has to type everything in, which rarely happens at a busy counter.

A register and an offline Excel file keep working. So does the QUE TRACK Windows app, which saves everything on the PC and syncs when you are back online.
